group Y is on the Hunt! Interns Wanted!

Any of you who have been with group Y for a while have probably noticed the rapid pace of growth we have experienced over the last year plus. With great growth comes more to manage. So, with that said, group Y is on the hunt for qualified interns to help us manage our contacts, membership and events.

This is an amazing opportunity for candidates with some marketing knowledge and action sports and youth marketing savvy who are looking to get a foot in the door.

The group Y intern duties will encompass:
- managing our contact database, withholding our standards of utmost security and privacy
- assisting with content generation and updating of the group Y website
- managing membership activities
- assisting planning of and evening-of event activities
- general administrative tasks and errands

Requirements to apply:
- you must live in San Diego or Orange County and be willing and able to commute throughout Southern California to events and group Y activities at least 2-3 times a month
- STRONGLY prefer candidates who have either recently graduated with a college degree or are in the process of getting their BA, preferably in business, marketing, communications or the creative arts
- you MUST have a passion for and knowledge of the action sports industry, as you are an active participant in at least one, preferably more, of the action sports disciplines
- you must be a self-starter and extremely organized
- you are outgoing and able to reach out to and interact with people you do not know
- you have high ethical standards. we take the privacy of our members and database extremely seriously

This is an unpaid internship. However, we would be more than happy to assist you with any extra approvals needed for class credit, etc. Also, as with any action sports industry position there are perks.
